Good learning opportunity to see rare diagnosis and easily collaborate readily with several specialists. Most specialists are absolutely fantastic to work with
Cons
Working understaffed and with heavy work loads, lots of training new learners often required. Units dont always get along well with each other nor do staff within the same unit unfortunately, seems to be lots of small cliques.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a balanced perspective. We're glad that collaboration with specialists and caring for patients with complex and rare conditions has been a meaningful part of your experience at Penn State Health.
We also hear your concerns around staffing, workload and team dynamics, and we understand how much those impact the day-to-day experience. We’re continuing to focus on ways to better support our teams. We appreciate your honesty and the care you bring to our patients each day.
Thank you for sharing your positive 5-star review and for the kind words about your colleagues. We're glad that comes through. As an academic health system, research is central to who we are. The work you and our research teams do every day touches patients and communities across the region and beyond.
Thank you for being part of Penn State Health.
Decent company to work for depending on your department. Benefits and pay are average, enjoy(d) what I do each day and my peers were supportive.
Cons
We recently began losing a lot of great technicians over the last year. HR doesn’t hold management accountable for policies involving harassment and retaliation. Our department was always top notch but began failing significantly beginning in 2025. Now everyone is leaving or being fired for unwarranted reasons. Growing concerns over outsourcing due to lack of accountability in management.
