Pros

Corporate structure saves you from common auto dealership discrimination for female employees. Lots of "sensitivity" training that teaches managers to learn to skirt the descrimination laws they might break if they hadn't had the education that really only serves as a means against litigation.

Cons

Internet manager position is no more unless you are the manager of a telemarketing team. Sales and negotiation skills are now only valued in salesman and sales managers and then you are a slave to the dealership in terms of time on the job. It's only then that you can elevate yourself out of the "pink collar" ghetto of underpaid and disrespected women in a dealership. You will work with dinosaurs who make too much money and wield their power unethically and who are promoted and compensated for blurring the lines between integrity and deceit with semantics.

Pros

I do not have any pros for Penske.

Cons

Their HR department does not hold their managers accountable for the abuse they are causing onto their employees. Being told to "remember to clock out" for lunch because we always have to work through our lunches is so small compared to all the other issues that occur in Penske. HR chooses not do anything to help their employees when they report something. They realistically do not care whatsoever that extreme misconduct occurs. They also don't ever care to explain the benefits that may be necessary for work/life stress balance except for one quick second at Power Up. HR does not tell you anything to set you up for success.
