Pros
I can wholeheartedly say that PMG is the best PR firm I have ever worked for and I consider the co-founders my mentors. I am currently starting my own PR Consultancy firm and I always tell others that most of what I know and how to do it professionally, was from the founders of PMG within the PR, Integrated Marketing/Social space. - You will learn big city PR business in a nicer, more comfortable and understanding environment without being disposable like most other firms within the industry. - You will learn to work within all PR markets and understand a variety of clients. - PMG simply creates the best generalist publicists out there. They cast a wide that allows you to find what category you truly love and fits with your style of work. - You will learn the difference between working for a PR firm with values and those without. PMG works for companies that put out great products/services and those that do good in the world. - PMG takes an integrated approach and allows various opportunities for growth. Like many other jobs, you get what you put into it, but PMG truly offers you room for growth and trusts their employees to take charge. - They will not promote you when you’re not ready. Some might see this as a con, but it is truly a plus. You receive feedback on your strengths and weakness and most importantly, get the ability to improve your personal PR craft if you put the effort into your own development.
Cons
I can't really come up with many 'cons' besides the other reviews on here. The negative reviews on here were obviously created by a band of employees that for some reason and what I could only imagine, were expecting an easy path after a few years with the company. Some followed their passion and that is great/fine. Others, worked very hard and were very dedicated to PMG, but were done with their few years of dedication and decided they wanted more. Fine - go get a better job, but most of them cannot compare PMG to other agencies because this was their first PR agency job. PR is hard, time consuming and intense anywhere and with any company you work for. Instead of being professional, they pouted away and wrote an anonymous review on here. Please take their opinions with a grain of salt. I would be more than happy to discuss my wonderful almost four year and ongoing experience with PMG and its partners further. I have reached out to the partners personally and they can pass my reference along if you wish to speak with me.
