Salary is on the low end and insufficient to be considered a career in the bay area. For bay area standards, it would have to take Covid, world war 3 and a company taking advantage of an international student struggling to stay in the USA all happening simultaneously for the level of talent they are paying equivalent in the tech field. A project manager was telling the juniors spending 11 dollars on a lunch is too expensive and the few times the leader paid for an ordinary lunch everyone was drowning him in a chorus of "thank you". It felt very demoralizing in terms of future potential to me. Top leadership is a little disrespectful to juniors.
