Pros

Products are amazing, and sell themselves, lots of very happy customers in store! Close knit team, make long-term friends. Real family feel, which is nice, and founders & management very approachable. Doing well, and a buzzy environment, and was excited to be a part of.

Cons

Busy, definitely no time for clock watching, some may not like the pressure, but I am the kind of person who likes to keep busy. No official training, but lots of good learning on job, with supportive colleagues. Sad to see negative reviews, as Pepa and team are not like that...judge for yourself!

Pros

Hands on experience, opportunity to learn new skills quickly.

Cons

Horrible working culture, the founders Mike and Pepa have no respect for people’s time e.g working over time is mandatory. Expectations are sky high, yet there are not enough employees or time in the day to meet Pepa’s unrealistic expectations.

Pros

- If you're willing to work there for a long period of time, you will have plenty to put on your CV at the end. As it's a small company you're able to get involved in every aspect of the business. - Other colleagues are great, an easy place to make great friends. - Every day/week is different, it's unlikely you'd ever be bored.

Cons

Don't believe the 5 star reviews! Staff members were asked to submit these as the negative ones were preventing people from applying for their advertised jobs. - High staff turnover (it's rare that anyone stays with the company for longer than a year). - Bosses/business owners lack basic managerial skills and have a history of bullying staff members, making the general working environment unpleasant for all who work there. - You're overworked and under-appreciated.

Pepa & Co. Response

The Pros of this review sum up Pepa and Co well (and indeed most fast-growing businesses). We are a small company meaning you are busy and get responsibility and variety from an early stage. Alongside that, we pride ourselves on being a good place to work and with that comes a culture where people are friendly and new friendships and relationships can be formed. However…. People do leave sometimes – but we have plenty of people who stay. The environment doesn’t suit everyone and part of our learning is understanding how to ensure people fully understand that this role will feel different to a larger organisation. We’re tackling this by improving our recruitment and our onboarding processes. Bosses lacking management skills and having a history of bullying is simply not true. We have had no complaints about bullying (which I would take incredibly seriously) and as this person also mentioned the environment is a great place to make friends. It saddens me to feel like people don’t feel appreciated. This Company is my baby and I work hard to ensure its growth and success which is only possible to do with my team. It is however, a busy environment (with less structured management and review systems than larger companies) and this won’t suit everyone. Responding to anonymous reviews is never easy and as the founder I take responsibility for any ex-employee feeling resentful towards me or Pepa and Co. I want and believe this to be a great place to work which is only possible because of the great team I have here.
