Pros

1. 9 - 6 if you think its a "pro" 2. good opportunity for promotion (if you are good at playing politics)

Cons

1. 80% politics, 20% real work. It may be a "pro" if you like to play politics rather than real work. 2. Chaos of management, inexperienced people are in the wrong positions (lead, managers). it is even worse than no management at all. 3. Inflexible working environment.

Pros

Remote work flexibility Charitable initiatives Remuneration

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, poor work-life balance, and a very cliquey culture. The ‘Pepperstone way’ feels cult-like. Extremely disorganised and lacks of clear strategy

Pros

Competitive salary. The company presents strong values on paper and the onboarding process is well-structured and formal, which initially gives a good impression. Some team members are genuinely talented and professional.

Cons

Transparency is a significant issue. Management decisions lack clear reasoning and are rarely communicated properly. Product requirements are poorly defined — tickets are vague and ownership of outcomes is unclear, which makes it difficult to deliver quality work. Design specifications are either missing or exist only in draft state. Rather than focusing on establishing basic engineering processes, management seems more interested in optimizing vanity metrics — commits, Slack activity and etc — while Jira tickets are often AI-generated with no human accountability behind them. Leadership competence is questionable at the middle management level. Decisions appear to be driven by internal politics rather than merit. I raised these concerns internally and was met with either silence, 'that's just how it is here', or deflection back onto me personally — which I found telling.
