No Identity, poor leadership - Lead Consultant Perficient Employee Review

Pros

Work from home opportunities can be nice, although generally it is because they push to be infrastructure light and don't offer true offices

Cons

-No identity - they purchase other firms to grow and they don't create any synergies or have an actual collaborative model, they just aggregate revenue. -Consultants are completely disconnected from quality of delivery. Bonuses are based solely on how many hours you can billed, no direct performance incentives or company performance incentive. -Leadership is extremely poor. May be personal bias adding to this, but from end of year e-mails with a dozen typos from the CEO, to the longest company-wide communication during my 3 years there being a declaration of victory that we had sponsored the then STL Rams (The CEO's favorite team), my 100 person firm was purchased and I joined a firm with absolutely no care for who I was other than rate/salary. -Many more

Thank you for your service with us. We will pass this feedback along, although there actually are other bonus programs consultants qualify for, such as the leadership bonus or the blogging bonus. We are sorry to hear you did not see any of the initiatives or internal campaigns rolled out over the past few years. While we do have many successful stories of colleagues coming on through an acquisition, we understand there is stress that comes along with that change and do our best to mitigate it. Here's an example for inspiration: https://blogs.perficient.com/2020/03/05/how-to-navigate-an-acquisition-to-career-success/ While we do have several editors for all communications, especially to our internal constituents, we understand true leadership isn't measured by word count in emails. Based on sentence about the alleged typos, we might be following different style manuals. We hope you find happiness and success in your next role.

Pros

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

Cons

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
