Pros
Great product Great people to work with Fantastic customers The company has changed hands 16 months ago and changed considerably. It started out more like a lifestyle company with lots of parties, swag and a fantastic feeling of freedom to it. When the company got sold by the original founder and owner many employees were very disappointed. There came the inevitable layoffs, followed by a change in management and even head quarters. In the meantime many additional old timers have left for various reasons. But there is also a lot of positives. The company needed streamlining of staff and processes, it had become very top-heavy. Perforce needed new focus instead of hopping around after too many trends and private projects. And the market place has changed: Perforce is no longer the only serious game in town. The changes have opened new opportunities for those willing to continue the work the founder has laid down. New faces with new talents have joined, especially with the first acquisition.
Cons
Personal development is still very much in your own hands, although there are many possibilities. Do not expect a clear career path laid out for you - this is very much a "do the job, then get the title" kind of company.
