Pros

- ok salary - friendly coworkers - free coffee and snacks - possibility to work from your own country for couple of months

Cons

- Sales Managers (especially high managers) have less experience than many sales agents. They have no clue of what they are doing. No leadership - Personio software is build for DE clients, that's it. It is not competitive at all out of Germany and couple of other countries - CLevels are trying all their best to look good on investors eyes in order to get money from them despite results are catastrophics - No strategy and road map - too many tools and processes for just basics daily tasks - During hiring process they sell themselves very well, they tell you hybrid is one or max 2 times per week at the office. However, once you start they basically force you to go at least 3 times - I want to highlight again the words: poor management, they are driving the company out of business step by step. I never seen such an incompetent team as Personio management (90% of them are completely lost).

Pros

Smart collaborative colleagues at the lower IC levels.

Cons

Personio is a dying company. The over-complexity of the company's technical systems is comical. Every attempt to simplify seems to lead to more complexity as things get half migrated and left to rot. Engineering leadership seems clueless and unable to present a clear plan-of-action to get things on track. Principal engineers force engineering time to be spent on silly projects that don't move the needle long-term. There is an overall aversion to taking the time to learn deeply about systems being used. Personio feels like a combination of all of the negatives of both a startup and a mature tech company, with none of the positives. The tech is half assed and duct taped together, but still somehow everything moves at a glacial pace. There is a mass shared delusion at the company that an IPO is in reach. No investor is going to buy this company's junk shares on the open market.
