Pros

I've never worked in a more positive work environment, they are all about the culture and keeping employees happy. Laid back atmosphere, we have monthly activities, you can bring your pet to work. Management and HR are easy to talk to, treat you fairly, listen to your ideas and communication is outstanding. And you get to talk to pet parents excited about their new family members all day, what's not to love!

Cons

Starting out on the night shift, although I was promoted to days fairly quickly.

Pros

PetFirst has a winning culture based around having fun and working hard. As an agent that came into the company with little sales experience and absolutely no experience with phone sales, I was surprised at how quickly they welcomed me into the company. From day one I was coached and supported to build my skills and given all the tools I needed to succeed! The process for obtaining an P&C license was made so simple by PetFirst, they took care of everything. All I had to do was show up, learn, and pass the test. They license you not only in your home state but in all 50 states at no cost to you! There are numerous extracurricular and fun activities throughout the year usually about once a month; as well as company outings. They have brought in massage therapists, hosted Derby parties, and Halloween parties just to name a few. In addition to all that you can bring your pet into the office! Even if your having a hard day, it gets a lot easier when you can walk over and play with a puppy for a minute. Lastly as a member of the KY Army National Guard I can attest to PetFirst's willingness to work with people's schedule. My unit trains more than a typical guard unit and as long as I provide them with the dates of my training they work around my schedule and I never have any issues from them.

Cons

For some positions there are minimal weekend hours but even these aren't a con because they are willing to work with you and your schedule and its always planned out well in advance.
