Pros
Great to be outdoors! I enjoy being outside and got a chance to get my "doggy fix" as I had to leave my dogs at home when I moved to nyc.
The dogs always put a smile on my face no matter what was happening in my life.
Beats a retail job and Iost 5 pounds from all the walking!
I liked that it was 1 on 1 walks and not pack walks, I see those dogs in large groups and feel bad how are they getting any attention...
Cons
It is a physical job outdoors in the elements, dogs are animals and have their quirks like people, the pay is low but I knew what I was getting into the company is very upfront about that and that the love of animals is the payoff.
Jobs in the service sector are generally low pay I was not doing this for the money, yes I was paid but I really wanted to work with animals.
