Pros
Job security. A company that rewards independence. Great community feel and friendly people.
Cons
Going downhill as of late through forced, unsustainable growth. The company is trading in their reputation for quality product and sustainability for short-term cash. The guests are noticing that prices are rising and quality is decreasing. There are no regulars any more, just tourists for the pretty flowers. Staff are being squeezed very hard for productivity without seeing any pay-rise. Revenue & opening hours have increased 1.5x with little increase of available resources, both space and staff-wise. Slow, top heavy management full of the owners' friends. Head office are not interested in the peasants who run the restaurants and retail areas. All they look for is paper growth with little investment besides a clever marketing team to bring customers into the complex and disappoint them. Management think a recruiting day is enough to bring in new staff to deal with the turnover they create through lack of pay, lack of development, and benefits. Look at the market, you are being outbid for good staff at every turn.
