Pexel Response
11yHi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding your experience here at Pexel. All comments are useful for us to identify where we can work harder to create a better working environment and ensure our employees are happy.
The nature of the work we do is clearly explained in the training sessions we offer. We make it clear that the job is a challenge and that we don't expect instant results on your first shift. Team leaders are always available to help with issues and encourage employees in their work. Furthermore, the role is not for everyone and can be hard work, especially when employees aren't seeing results from their efforts. Unfortunately their will be many times when callers are unhelpful or hang up the phone, this is just one of the challenges of the role.
We do encourage employees to ask questions, in the training sessions and while they are working. Our team leaders are available to answer these queries, or it will be passed onto someone who can help better.
Because the projects we have require different numbers of language speakers at any one time, there could be periods of work that are very busy and where you will have a number of shifts, and on the other hand, periods that are very quiet and where you won't have many shifts. This is also explained prior to training in the information documents we give to you, during training and after. This means that the role is very flexible, and many see this as a benefit as they are able to fit their shifts around other commitments such as a second job or university.
Just like any role, working for Pexel is a challenging role. It's not for everyone but we do our utmost to help new starts settle into their job and do our best to help them in every way we can.
I'm sorry that on this occasion, your experience with us wasn't a positive one, but we will take your comments on board to rectify any issues that we feel need addressing.
Kind Regards,
Pexel Research Services
