Pros

Excellent weekly pay and awesome benefits.

Cons

For starters, the management team at PGW is horrible. They think very lowly of their employees, place an enormous amount of stress on them, place them in horrid working conditions, all because of control. The top union leadership is no different. The backdoor deals with management for their own professional and personal gain is just as terrible. They are not thinking for the future, but thinking for themselves. Their policies and leaderships are so outdated, it's sad how they want young aspiring professionals to apply but yet they cannot accommodate their needs. The work-life balance is horrible. For example, during remote work, they are micromanaging their employees. COVID-19 exposed the lack of leadership, preparation, and most importantly the morale of this company. My suggestion to anyone with an ounce of professionalism and talent, stay away from this outdated, racist company.

Pros

Easy work guaranteed 40 hours a week great benefits no lay offs pension 457 or 401k paid sick days holidays and vacation days

Cons

You get penalized for using sick days to easy to lose progressions in the summer time the higher up have less work so they micromanage everything you do new rules are constantly being added it’s not a real union the union works for Pgw so it’s a conflict of interest when it comes time for them to defend you the company always puts the blame on you if they can never find a conclusive answer to a problem
