Pros
Well, where do I start? After working at a pretty poisonous company for a long time I finally took the plunge to look for something new. What attracted me the most to Phocas was their Glassdoor reviews, after working somewhere with such terrible culture. I can absolutely confirm that the culture at Phocas is brilliant, they really invest in people's well-being, with tonnes of initiatives for good mental (and physical) health activities. Everyone is willing to help you out, and are genuinely friendly and empower each other to succeed. Although the HQ is in Sydney, the cultural ethos from the CEO does travel, he believes it's key to make employee satisfaction number 1 on the agenda, and then everything else will follow. Benefits are excellent also with full Private Health Care and Cash Plan. Managers are extremely approachable, there are no issues with egos they are also happy to admit they make mistakes on the odd occasion - they're only human! HR ( I say HR there's one woman so it'll be pretty obvious who I am referencing here) is great, a real people person who always takes the time to check in with staff to see how they are getting on, and is always on hand to support. She's a real asset to the Company.
Cons
Onboarding / on-the-job training wasn't very structured. I have fed this back - managers are very keen on getting feedback and acting on it, and this will be addressed and not an issue moving forward.
