Great benefits, good work-life balance, fully remote, very smart people with low egos, company makes good strategic choices
Cons
Pay can be at the lower end of the scale, lots of bureaucracy

Thank you for sharing your feedback on what its like for you to work at PicnicHealth - and more importantly, for the contributions you've made while on the team. The pros you listed here resonate - with where we've made intentional choices and with what others share as top reasons to join and stay at PicnicHealth. The cons are good fodder for further conversations! We are committed to paying fairly and competitively against the external (and internal/to the team) market, and to minimizing bureaucracy.

Pros
Really enjoyed my coworkers, they were super flexible on account of being fully remote, and the work was interesting
Cons
Got laid off along with around 1/4th or 1/5th of the company. They did not do it in a very professional manner. Locked me out of all accounts at 9am. Supposedly they sent an email to my personal account with some information about the layoffs but I did not receive it, so I didn't know what was going on until I got a meeting invite titled "Exit Meeting" to my personal email to meet with the CTO in 10 minutes. I also never got the opportunity to talk to my manager. I'm sure it is difficult to do layoffs as a remote company in general, but they did not handle it particularly well.

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is fair - both in terms of what you appreciated about working at Picnic, and what you didn't, given your specific experience during the layoff.
