Pros
The culture is great, laid back, creative agency feel. All the employees are friendly, will go out to lunch together and joke around with everyone.
Cons
As a contract part-time employee, the hours I worked was abused to no end. While the contract was a set amount of hours per week, I was directly told that working under or over the set hours would result in the same pay. While this seems "fair" as I could work under one week and over the other and would still get paid a fair amount... this was not the case in practice as there was not a single week where I worked under the set hours and a multitude of weeks working over the hours.
Talking with people in the community, Piehead has a reputation for not treating contract / part-time employees fairly. This, I can conform.
While employed as a part-timer for over a year I would directly as my manager about full-time employment and for 5+ months I was told that a decision was being discussed. I was even told at one point that I was included on a list of "Approved Full-time" employees - I was then told a few weeks later that there was no full-time position for me at the company.
