Pros
- Flexible with working hours - Projects are usually interesting - Your career is in your own hands; the up side is that if you want to take on more senior roles you will be able to get a shot at it if you ask. - Pay is adequate, and profit-sharing bonuses were pretty regular - Generally very smart people, and you get to interact with people from a lot of different disciplines
Cons
