Pros
this is for PPNYC only. In many departments there is room to grow and move up in the organization if you choose. more possible if you are a "team player" as many "lifers" are there even after many different shifts and switch of staff and protocol. health insurance is good. very white organization as most senior management are mostly white women and men with a handful of people of color. not all PP centers are the same w regard to staff and culture.
Cons
there is a difference between using a feminist theory to guide the work and using a feminist framework to guide the work. PP all over use a theory not a framework so the actual practice of those outside of clinical settings struggle in totally different ways w hierarchy, logistics, non-union positions, etc.
