Pros

1. If you are into Product Management, this is a good place for you. Irrespective of your experience level, Planview Product Management offers you an open environment where you are free to go as outbound and as wide as you want to, and are empowered to make important roadmap and priority decisions. Org hierarchy exists, but the hierarchy does not limit you in any manner. There is a continuous and good push, especially on junior to mid-level product managers, to spend more and more time with the customers, not just on specific agenda like roadmaps, discovery or feedback, but also on open "listening calls" which give you a wealth of knowledge about the customer's business landscape, the use cases your product serves, the user behaviors, asks and pain points. For PM-s in their early years, the experience can be very empowering and offer excellent learning and growth in a short period. 2. The Product part of the organization actively follows a mentorship style of listening, coaching, caring and offering the right growth path. This single thing contributes immensely to keeping the work environment "psychologically safe" even while you are caught in the eye of the storm. 3. Planview has a strong Diversability ERG (Employee Resource Group) that keeps making excellent cohort-based trainings available to help you understand and build on your strengths and make the workplace better for your colleagues. Some of the trainings I have personally availed and have immensely benefitted from are Gallup Clifton Strengths Training and Leadership Training. A few other trainings that were on offer in the last few months were about supporting working caregivers, and mental health first aid. 4. Work life balance in Products is far better as compared to most other organizations in India. 5. Top leadership makes efforts to maintain transparency about company performance, organizational direction and goals. 6. Knowledge is openly available and accessible. 7. Good employee recognition practices exist. 8. Hybrid work policy. 9. Satellite office at Manyata Tech Park in addition to main office at EcoWorld - to make commute shorter for employees from northern side of Bangalore.

Cons

1. With a fast headcount growth in India over the last 3 years and plenty of acquisitions over the last 7-8 years, culture varies across different parts of the organization. However, there are ongoing efforts to build up more harmony and alignment across the organization, as well as broader awareness about customers, market and business landscape, company performance and more. 2. Lack of trainings on modern technologies, AI and data. Trainings, either arranged in-house or through partnership with institutions, could go a long way in modernizing and upskilling the workforce - which is a must-have in the face of the latest disruption caused by AI. 3. Recent stringency around 2 days/week WFO expectations. Puts employees with long commute + evening calls at disadvantage. 4. The HR policy accommodated sabbaticals till some years back, but no longer now. Extending sabbaticals to employees to support caregiving responsibilities, studies or other personal needs is a good employee care measure.

Pros

Working at Planview has provided me with the opportunity to grow professionally while collaborating with talented and supportive teams across the organization. As a Senior Global Training Consultant, I’ve had the chance to work closely with customers around the world, helping them adopt solutions that improve portfolio management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. One of the things I value most about Planview is the culture of collaboration and innovation. There is a genuine willingness across teams to share knowledge, support one another, and continuously improve the customer experience. I also appreciate the flexibility to explore new ideas and technologies, especially around AI-enabled learning, customer enablement, and modern training approaches. The company encourages continuous learning and provides opportunities to expand both technical and professional skills. Over the years, I’ve been able to deepen my expertise in enterprise portfolio management while also contributing to new initiatives that help customers realize greater value from the platform. What has kept me here is the combination of meaningful customer impact, strong team relationships, and the ability to continue learning and evolving in my role. It’s rewarding to work for a company that values innovation, customer success, and employee contributions.

Cons

Like many growing technology companies, Planview operates in a fast-paced environment where priorities and initiatives can evolve quickly. At times, balancing multiple projects and organizational changes can be challenging, especially in customer-facing roles that support global teams and clients across different time zones. Because Planview continues to innovate and expand its product capabilities, there can also be a learning curve with new processes, tools, or strategic initiatives. However, for individuals who enjoy continuous learning, collaboration, and adapting to change, these challenges can also create strong opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
