Pros

Cool swag. Office would be cool if it wasn't empty / execs looking over your shoulders.

Cons

- RECENT 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE. As the title of this review states, this company can’t control its own reputation. There's a reason turnover is so high and why employees look elsewhere to further their careers. - If you are applying for a remote position, think twice. The CEO has said himself that remote workers are at a disadvantage. They do not work to incorporate remote workers. - There is no work life balance. In office employee desks were just moved and are all on one floor next to executive offices to be better watched and micromanaged. Employees receive messages from coworkers at 3am consistently. - Manufactured urgency is unbearable. This company will have you thinking that if you do not rush to get things done, you are doing things wrong. Everything is an emergency and sense of importance is lost. - The executives at this company escape all responsibility for their decision making. They are, however, responsible for the palpable sense of fear employees have. I have heard stories of the CEO making passive aggressive comments suggesting people will be fired if they do not do what he says. This awful culture comes from the top down. - Want a promotion? Blindly follow your manager and never think for yourself. - If you love to “hustle”, never take time off, enjoy working for 10-12 hours a day for below market pay, and hate critically thinking about solving problems, this job is for you.

Pros

Cool office building, learn from some of the best sales reps you’ll come across in your career

Cons

I worked at podium for a few years. It was the most toxic sales culture I’ve ever experienced. I do not say that lightly It was worth the money a year/two plus ago. They raised quotas multiple times in the last year and decreased the commission percentages. It is wild how many hoops an ae had to jump through to close a deal. In my 7+ of being in sales it was probably the hardest sale to close and I was a top rep. If you want to join podium it could be a good learning experience but it will come with a lot of headaches, anxiety about job security (they pip sales reps out like no other company I’ve ever worked for) and maybe some tears
