Pros
Good retirement plan, interesting work, well-respected organization, travel opportunities
Cons
Treatment of lower level staff is a big problem here. Supervisors are allowed to comment negatively on their staff's personal lives, sexuality, clothing/hair/makeup, economic status, and work position and mistreat staff based on their personal biases. Supervisors are often disrespectful to lower level staff, even in the presence of senior leadership and are not reprimanded. Staff have felt abused at times, cried at work, and sought new work opportunities because management issues were never addressed. Supervisors have also compelled staff to work when they were sick and run personal errands for them. Morale is low and turnover is high. Staff are disgruntled and people are generally rude. It is not a huge organization but there is a lot of bureaucracy. The culture here needs major improvement.
