Pros

Great pay and benefits including PTO, thoughtful facility to take breaks and breakrooms.

Cons

I wanted to get away from corporate but found myself back in it. While compliance is understandable for this work, the systems they make us use, are grossly out dated making the job way too hard to do even with training. Click this click that 5x, then go back, passcode, it’s over the top and you're not told in the interview, or given proper testing, to reflect not just a “challenging” system, but something that has you working in the dark ages. Our instructor was very hot and cold and projected a lot of her annoyance onto people excited to understand, offering little guidance on expectations, in clear instructions. They say a lot of right things, making you prematurely trust the hype and perks more than the reality.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the pay, benefits, and our facilities. We also take your concerns seriously, particularly around transparency, training experience, and system usability. Compliance-driven environments can be complex, and we recognize that our tools and training need to reflect the day-to-day realities of the role. Your comments are being shared with our leadership and training teams as we continue working to improve communication, systems, and onboarding. We appreciate you being candid and wish you the best moving forward. -Sequoia

Pros

The benefits at PGE are wonderful. 401k Match, a healthy amount of PTO, health support, and the pay is top notch.

Cons

There is a toxic culture being spread in Human Resources right now. There is a lack of fairness and trust being displayed by senior leadership. Most don't feel trusted to do their jobs as they constantly feel watched and monitored. There is a view of favoritism happening and it's noticed by many, observing the lack of flexibility around work life balance, hours and child/elder care responsibilities. There are many out on a leave of absence due to these stressors affecting people who were once healthy excited workers. You can see on their faces how people's health is taking a toll. SLT talks about how your mental and physical health is important, but it feels more like a liability. And in the end, there are overall feelings of if you leave, it's totally okay because they'll just replace you with someone they know. And they don't seem to care.
