Being at the front line of help for people who are looking to get into treatment is a very rewarding experience. Several associates are in recovery and this creates a healthy network of compassionate people that the clients can rely on. It's an okay place to begin a career in this field.
Cons
The work can be challenging, especially when you do not get positive reinforcement from management. Several employee initiatives were short-lived, resulting in low morale. This lack of consistency devalues the people who are working hard every day. The lack of growth within department is bad for retention and the blatant displays of favoritism create tension among coworkers. There is a lot of gossip here that creates a toxic culture that starts from leadership and trickles down to each and every department.
