Pros
-Company events -The people -predominantly Millennials and Gen Z employees -sales training both a pro and a con- training is extremely interactive and not boring great at making sure the entire class understands it as well -diversity and inclusion initiatives -work with the community -upper management does want to help you succeed
Cons
-Pay 100% commission means 0 paid time off -Expect to work up to 17 hour workdays Monday-Sunday while in training (work hours 9-5pm for the most part, but there’s a lot on your personal time studying and homework most people pull all nighters to have material down by next day or else you’ll be in trouble) -Very little pay for the hours you put in -Absolutely no work life balance, most people burn out -Even when hired for sales expect to start your career door knocking as a solicitor -Latest sales appointments can go until 10pm -Expect to work weekends as well (higher chances at selling are saturdays and sundays) -Extensive amounts of stress due to workload -Job best suited for those with not many financial responsibilities (as the first 2-3 months you make very very little money), younger people right out of college, people without kids or family responsibilities, as family and S/O won’t be seeing much of you for the first 3 months. -Extremely high turnover due to reasons listed above -Also in order to get promoted to VP or senior mentorship for marketing you need to go backwards and start all over as a solicitor
