Uncomfortable/Awkward door to door canvasing required before they let you in actual sales - Sales Representative Power Home Remodeling Employee Review

Pros

Pay can be decent depending on the position Good Benefits

Cons

They intentionally do not disclose that you are required to intrude in neighborhoods for door to door scheduling before you can be in the sales position until about the third interview. There is a requirement to schedule a certain amount of appointments with homeowners on the sales representatives behalf. You are given a neighborhood to canvas in and knock on peoples doors often lying by saying you're "doing work in the neighborhood" and noticed they (insert here what "issue" you should find to point out) then sell them on the idea on having someone come out for a free quote. The sales rep will then be expected/pressured to sell to the homeowner in that initial visit as if people don't explore and get multiple quotes on these things. It's all an awkward pushy exchange from start to finish.

Pros

Power encourages and supports growth more than any other company I've worked for. The training, coaching, and leadership development opportunities are exceptional, and there is a genuine focus on helping people improve both professionally and personally. I've built valuable relationships, gained confidence as a leader, and developed skills that extend far beyond sales. For those who are motivated, coachable, and willing to put in the work, there are tremendous opportunities for growth, advancement, and long-term success.

Cons

The company operates at a fast pace and maintains high expectations, which can be demanding at times. However, Power is constantly evolving, requiring employees to adapt quickly to new processes, priorities, and opportunities. While these changes support growth and innovation, success often depends on strong time management, resilience, and a willingness to embrace change and continuous improvement.
