Pros
Working directly with the community, good pay and benefits
Cons
The work PHR saves lives, and that would be a great reason to work there if they passed on their values and ethos onto their employees. They will take away employees and resources from shifts, then turn around and demand more from those same shifts. Then when you don't rise to do more with less, they will blame you. Their main method of motivation is shame and gaslighting. They will performatively pretend to care about employee well being while taking none of the actions to make their hollow words whole. If you like saving lives while wearing away at your own mental health, well being, and confidence, then by all means work here. Just don't say I didn't tell you so when you're burned out in short order.
