Pros
The work is interesting and varied, and the commercial and communications teams get to look at every area that Preqin is involved with. The workplace is professional and friendly at the same time, and most of the senior people really know their area of expertise. The pay is good, and the company has a good reputation in the industry.
Cons
Many of the researchers complain about the repetitive work, and say there's no opportunity for advancement. These are most likely people that assume this job will be a step into a job at a big hedge fund - don't flatter yourself. If there's one complaint, it's that there is more focus on making sales than on sorting out the back-end systems and making sure we do what we do as well as possible.
