Pros
Worked directly for this staffing agency and received one and a half years of office experience including payroll experience. The other ladies I worked with were nice if shy.
Cons
The owner is not a good person. He would make fun of the candidates that came in to interview after they left. The jokes targeted their religious beliefs and sexuality. He would have us schedule interviews with people that were asking for higher pay rates and specific postings for administrative positions and then offer them jobs for warehouse positions for less money. We were instructed to lie to candidates about available jobs to give them false hope and keep them on the hook in case we needed them, also to keep our numbers looking good. We were told to lie about whether or not a job was a temp or temp to hire position. Many of the clients we worked with had incredibly high turn over rates but we would have to lie and say what good companies they are too candidates. We would constantly get complaints about the owner's behavior. He was over aggressive and often used his physical size to intimidate people into doing what he wanted. He would be very rude and insulting to candidates on the phone. We were put into unsafe positions including dealing with meth addicts by ourselves and receiving death threats over the phone. The owner would always tell us to just deal with it on our own when we told him about it because it's our job to handle it. He would lie to the unemployment board and make up evidence so that candidates would be denied unemployment. It was horrible working there and incredibly uncomfortable. He also keeps anti abortion signs in the front window which is incredibly unprofessional.
