Pros
They showed me what kind of company I don’t want to be associated with
Cons
Hard to list all the cons but here goes: 1) Ever since we had the first communications with Prime upper management it was a feeling of get people out of here. If they can’t sell from the get go then get rid of them. There was never a mention of any type of employee development to give them the skills they need to succeed. 2) Training is a joke because there is no training. There are no management training for newly hired managers, so a person goes from being an RSC to a management role and they are expected to know how to lead a team and develop a team. 3) Commissions can be great if you’re at a high traffic store. You make the same money per sale whether you are at a slow traffic store or high traffic store. So if you’re at a slow store then good luck making a decent commission check. Also the managers can double dip between personal sales and store commissions so it’s easy to have a manager try to get in front of as many customers as possible and try to sell them something instead of developing their skills to motivate and develop their team. It’s not a surprise that most of their top sellers are managers. They are just retail sales consultants with a title of a manager. Now I’ve been removed from this company for several months so things could’ve changed.......but I doubt it. Also forgot to mention that if you don’t make a DIRECTV sale then you don’t get a commission check. 4) Now pay attention to this if you plan on leaving the company. When you leave the company then they will NOT pay you your final commission check. If you leave prior to getting your commission then you forfeit it. I did not know this and they stiffed me on over $2k commission check. When I called their HR about this all I got was “Sorry but that’s our policy!” 5) I had a great regional director. He was always positive and genuinely cared about how everyone was doing and cared about their development. When Prime took over his demeanor changed. His body language had changed and I could tell that he was still trying to be positive and develop everyone to be better but he was struggling. Spring should’ve taken over Prime and not the other way around. It’s funny that the most recent 5 star reviews are worded very similarly and they come from a position in the finance department. There’s more but I’m getting tired and my fingers are starting to hurt from all the typing.
