Pros

Sweet residents and caring nursing staff.

Cons

Managed by an inappropriate Executive Director who contributes to favoritism and nepotism. Bases employees wages/raises on their living situation. If you are a young person living with your parents don’t expect to get paid what others do as she feels you don’t need the money. Acts intrusively with hospice residents by not giving family their privacy in their loved ones final moments making herself right at home at the bedside. She is a risk to the residents by taking it upon herself to declare someone is dehydrated when they are clearly having stroke like symptoms and offering them water, putting them at risk for aspiration. Thankfully there have been nursing staff around to stop her. And at the top of her list of expertise is how well she can lie and manipulate to make herself look good. Families and staff should not be fooled. This woman cares for no one but herself. How this crass, unprofessional, woman keeps her position without even a degree is mind boggling. She clearly has something over on the owners or she has been in compromising positions with one.

Pros

Very warm company to work for. No internal company politics or games from what I could tell. Friendly and supportive colleagues. Home office leadership is focused on skill development and growth. Supporting the residents and community teams are the primary focus. Medical benefits are solid.

Cons

Due to the smaller company size and minimal turnover, career advancement at the home office isn’t likely at a certain point without a decade or more in the company. Though community level advancement opportunities are strong. Pay is behind industry average by a decent amount, though the work environment is a nice counter balance. Quality is inconsistent between departments. Dining and Life Enrichment are well behind industry trends.
