The main issue at Probrand is the toxic culture.
Toxic work cultures make going to work feel miserable.
People can’t make decisions - even the simple purchase of a peripheral requires director sign off.
There is no trust.
Working from home is assumed to be a way of skiving. Management doesn’t allow people to work from home because they want to watch people.
“MANAGEMENT vs. US” culture
Micro-management is rife
Judging people by when they start work and how late they work. Managers watching clocks so don’t be late or you may have to sneak in the side entrance.
People that are given extra privileges for enforcing the leaderships toxic culture and talking behind people’s backs in order to gain something.
Management talking down to people regularly, some people a victim of this more than others which in my opinion constitutes as bullying.
Shaming low performance
When people decide to leave or mention they are thinking of leaving, they are talked about as traitors. Once they are gone they are repeatedly blamed for ongoing issues. This means remaining management don’t have to take responsibility.
Asking staff to write positive reviews online to cover up the toxicity. It’s amazing that they would rather attempt to cover things up than to address the issues and make things better, but to do this would mean admitting fault.
Values are spoken of rarely and mean nothing. They are just words and fluff to tick a box for HR.
No personal phones allowed on desks or in use in the office
They once made a rule that all the guys had to be clean shaven!! Makes me laugh as I type this! Unbelievable.
