Pros

The concept of the company is fascinating and challenging to understand if you are not a Chemical Engineer, but I enjoyed learning about it. It clearly has a great future ahead of it. Everyone was extremely friendly and passionate. I am quite introverted and like to focus on my work which can put people off, but I never had a problem here, very professional and open in my team and department as a whole. There was a pleasant, flexible approach to work and you could be trusted to crack on with what you need to do. The holiday package was also great. The position gave me time to analyse where my strengths and weaknesses were and I appreciate that experience.

Cons

My position did not have a lot of organisation behind it and I quickly saw that this was not a role that was career progressive. I could also see there were certain things about the position that Management did not understand which made my work much harder and more of a chore, which was frustrating. I felt I had limited resources to do my job and the team lacked the processes and systems for clear communication that you would normally see in most companies. Benefits and promotions were also thin on the ground. By the end of my employment, I felt pretty exhausted mentally and had lost my enthusiasm for the work.

Pros

Flexible work hours, some knowledgeable, smart and good personnel. If some issues could be fixed, it has a lot of potential.

Cons

This is for the Oil and Gas US group: Even for your own project, the boss may not share Information with you (discussion with clients) until specifically asked for. The interview consists of a test misleading you to believe technically challenging opportunities ahead, but may simply turn out a task of lots of data entry from drawings. Quantity is more important than quality. Overall misleading and dubious practices.
