Prodigy Education Response
4moThank you for sharing your perspective. We know that this past year, particularly with the recent restructuring, has been incredibly difficult for many people. This has been one of the toughest decisions in Prodigy’s history and we are deeply sorry it has come to this.
Decisions that impact colleagues and friends are never taken lightly, and we understand the frustration and hurt that can follow. We fully recognize this decision - and especially the number of positions impacted - may have come as a shock. At the same time, we have consistently shared our financial results at our monthly All Hands meetings to demonstrate the challenges we were facing during 2025. Our goal has always been to operate transparently so employees understand both our progress and our risks. That said, we recognize that knowing the context doesn’t lessen the impact of change.
The decision to reduce our team was not a reflection of individual contributions or commitment. It was a business decision made to ensure the long-term sustainability of Prodigy so we can continue delivering on our mission for students, parents, and teachers. We know that trust is built not just through communication, but through consistent action, and we are focused on strengthening alignment, clarity, and accountability as we move forward. Prodigy has always aimed to combine strong performance with a people-first culture. We remain committed to that standard and to learning from this chapter.
We appreciate the time and energy you’ve invested over the past several years. If you would like to talk about your experience further, or ways we can improve, please do feel free to speak to your manager or a member of the People Operations team. This can even be done anonymously (via the Speak Up platform found in your Prodigy bookmarks) if you feel more comfortable.
