Pros
Progress Management has been through a ton of changes over the past 4 years. We now use Yardi and ADP instead of everything handwritten! Mega advancement for Progress. Since the passing of our beloved Conrad, nearly the entire leadership has changed. Laurie Anne Victoria took over as the CEO, Greg Smith left the Director of Operations where Mirian Castro took over. She is doing a phenomenal job! Joe Gronotti, the General Manager (who we all love and miss) has retired as well as Rick Sayer, the facilities Director. We now have Carla Tabar as the GM and Fred Ruane as facilities director. We have 2 new Supervisors whom were promoted and a return Employee, Nikki, as the CEOs assistant. With new leadership, the entire company has changed. We now have budgets, Progress is finally spending money on our properties which was MUCH needed. Our entire company has changed and for the better. Another great thing about progress is if you leave on good terms, you can always come back if a position is available. They will always promote from within and now participate in the Mark of Excellence awards.
Cons
Since the passing of our CEO, Conrad, there is not much opportunity for growth. I'd love a larger property but Progress has not bought any Properties since. Saturday Service is required if you have a vacancy longer than 2 weeks. It just feels like punishment. Offices are short staffed. 1 person office and 1 maint tech at nearly all properties. Work load can be heavy at times. Not a whole lot of trust in Managers. We cannot enter consessions or even bill charges. Still cannot approve flooring replacements. Its difficult sometimes to wait for supervisor to come walk and approve a flooring request.
