Pros
Excellent training program and coaching for new hires. Outstanding benefits, but I can’t afford them with my hourly pay. 401(k) match up to 6%. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful and seems to enjoy their jobs. Working from home is great. I would never do this job in an actual call center post-COVID. Gainshare end of year bonus is nice, but it’s the least the company could do for its employees considering the pay is so low. I don’t really get the hype.
Cons
The work is painful, repetitive and monotonous. You work in customer service but are still expected to sell, although they will say “offer” homeowners insurance and the like for your metrics. The pay is embarrassing if you have a college degree. You really can’t tell if people actually enjoy their jobs or are just brainwashed by leadership. You have to remain in your position for 6 months-1 year before you can “grow” to a lateral position.
