Pros

There is a decent PTO program.

Cons

- If you are straight or male good luck progressing with this company - A lot of favoritism happens here - There is a lot of I can do this but you cant attitude. - if you fall under the first line then you will be underpaid and when it comes to promotion you wont get the job - worked here for 4 years and watched every male or straight person be replaced with the opposite (which this isnt a knock againt anyone) just not a fair opportunity workplace - You will notice overtime that the hard working employees are paid less and the person who goofs off and barely does their job somehow makes more than you. - claims to have worklife balance but then suspends PTO on most days - Claims to be not political but internally is very political. Doesnt matter what your political belief is should not be displayed in the workplace. - you will have a new supervisor every 2 months - you will commonly be required to do things out of your job title and pay grade and then when it comes time for a promotion you apply for they will turn the other cheek. - You will always be expected to not question anyone higher than you even when they are wrong and could cause issues for the customer - They always have system issues and have so many work arounds you loose track and then there will be no guide for these and then you will be yelled at when you arent doing the work around they didnt provide and guide on. - You are always expected to have tolerance for their mistakes but forbid you breathe wrong while you work here. Their stock is failing their internal annual business percent is failing but they will continue to tell you how great progressive is doing for the year... the numbers say otherwise. - often times you will not be provided adequate training and then be responsible if you did not do something right. (not after you have worked a skill for a long time and you get it down right when you get out of training you are expected to be absolutely perfect) - I have watched very hardworking people that over perform their job get less and treated like they dont matter because they are a male and this is coming from a female. - Health Insurance here is a joke - They claim to have the great culture and to be diverse and this is far from the truth. No one person above your supervisor level lives by the rules and culture they preach. - Run run run away from this place unless you absolutely accept this and then I would move to the next place as fast as you can.

Pros

Work from home and flexible scheduling, can slide schedule up to two hours to accommodate appointments, etc.

Cons

Unrealistic claim volume, it ramps up slowly when you're in training and then you start getting so many claims you don't know what to do with them. Customer service is constantly preached, but it's not possible to return voicemails, texts and emails timely while managing 20 claims a day. They keep increasing volume, and you have to spend a minimum of 5 hours a week taking live calls, during which you cannot make any calls out on your own claims, and are required to work each claim you take a call on to it's fullest point, even when they are brand new and unassigned, taking you away from taking action on your own claims that could prevent calls. They are incorporating AI and digital tools that were intended to simplify the process and reduce phone time, but customers are upset and refuse to participate, which means claims are delayed awaiting digital statements, and then need more phone calls anyway. The expectations are outrageous.
