Great place to work in Cleveland - IT Manager Progressive Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Progressive has wonderful work perks: onsite health care, fitness centers, large cafeteria area, college campus look and feel. Lots of job opportunities to start as one job and work your way up or into a different job title if interested. Lots of jobs and flexibility. Also, work-life balance is good. Can work from home 1-2 days per week.

Cons

Large corporation (like all others posted) has the bureaucracy and overhead of processes, even though they may not apply to everyone. Some job titles are harder to move up, but there is a lot of room to move around laterally.

Pros

Wonderful people, great networking opportunities and skills training for different roles. They have flexible options for time off outside of PTO. Their VTO comes in handy. Theirs options to switch a working day and make-up time with an off day and vice versa.

Cons

It's harder to move into a role outside of your department, but easy to move laterally within it.

Pros

One day a week in the office. No weekends. Work from home 4 days. New hires do have to be in office 2 days for first year then go to 1 day a week. Benefits are good. Everyone is awesome. Really only had one supervisor who was a little on the micro managing side but they were new to it. Other than that VP don down the line to adjuster are all super nice and approachable

Cons

It’s a stress full job. I love it but it’s not for everyone. You have to be on your A game every day or you will get behind
