- free lunch once a week - took us to the DNC convention for the 2016 election - got to meet with partner organizations and attend talks with other think tanks - had some cool assignments

- hired WAY too many interns for the amount of work that they had which meant that we spent most of the 8 hours a day with absolutely nothing to do - most members of staff seemed to forget that the interns were there and made no effort to give us any work
