Pros

Good benefits and some good people. BE CAREFUL of the positive reviews, the company encourages happy employees to write reviews when there is a lot of negative feedback! (this won't be the last of bad reviews I bet)

Cons

Unfortunately, the employee churn rate at Protenus is high. People are leaving sooner than they should. We avoid interviewing for management positions and just promote someone from within which means you'll often get managers with no experience. I saw a few teams with managers where the employees under them either left or complained about them internally. People joke the CFO doesn't wake up until 11am which actually might be true. The CEO is the Co-Founder but hasn't actually grown the company much in the last few years (you have to respect someone for ignoring their flaws and continuing to push on right?). We are told we will reach certain revenue goals and then fail miserably constantly. We laid off the entire product management team so nothing new or innovative has come out in a while. Project Skyscraper was a huge flop that we all laughed at internally. But don't worry, they will lie to you again! Just be weary if you're interviewing here, a lot of the quiet employees internally are silently making moves. Be careful what you sign up for!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all reviews seriously and value constructive criticism as an opportunity for growth. We’re disappointed to hear about your experience, as it differs from the overwhelming positive feedback we’ve recently received from current employees during our listening tours and our anonymous third-party engagement surveys. However, we understand that everyone’s experience can vary, and we are committed to addressing any concerns raised. At Protenus, we believe there are situations where promoting from within is most appropriate and we aim to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. We encourage employees to take advantage of development opportunities and support them in reaching their full potential. Our commitment to growth is reflected in our continuously increasing employee tenure and engagement scores. Our People Operations team is always open to further discussing your feedback and concerns and they can be reached at people@protenus.com. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
