Pros

Prudential's benefits package is awesome. They have a lot of incentives to do well.

Cons

It is ran poorly and secretively. There is a lot of interoffice politics and coworkers are HEAVILY influenced against one another. zero freedom and flexibility. I was personally lied to during the recruiting process as well as attempted by management to be manipulated many times. A ton of he said she said went on in my territory and it was primarily upper-management. Upper management also has a very hard time getting answers to issues and systems.

Pros

Other than free parking at the Shelton office facility, there are no positive remarks to be made. If one enjoys inappropriate and humorless jokes made by the managing director, then this drab and dreary cube farm is perfect.

Cons

The misrepresentation of their alleged Career Development Program, lovingly called "CDP" by the inmates, purports to offer an opportunity to neophytes to develop a viable practice. The actual intent is to encourage experienced, fully-licensed, fully registered sales professionals to develop sales for favorite sons in the Shelton agency. This particular coven charges professionals for the doubtful privilege of being appointed with Prudential, a practice that no one in Pru's NYC licensing department ever approved. Compliance is stifling and unnecessary when contrasted to far superior firms.
