Pros

They train you to be one of the best. Competition is nothing when you leave that building you are the best nurse and or nurses aid hands down.

Cons

This can be a very stressful place to work you will go home in tears some days. A lot of the times the work conditions are heavy and you can be asked to do more than your share of the work.

Pros

Proximity to home, flexibility provided when needed

Cons

Lack of workload balance when comparing the short term and longterm demands. Archaic unreliable technology, poor supply management, Only paid for one holiday and only if you are working. High turnover from upper mgt down. Redundancies in work processes. Many employees are paid for one position, but performing 2 to 3 other job descriptions. 30 day lead to take a day of PTO while other ppl are on PTO for months, thus causing an already strained situation worse. Lack of investment in the property by ownership. No office space for Unit Managers, one shares a small closet with a commercial ice machine, the other is in the supply closet that was once a shower. Low morale.
