Pros
I really love the work that I do, and I think a lot of the people here can say that. That we make such widely recognized and popular jewelry by hand entirely in house, ethically and sustainably, is just such a cool thing to be involved in. I love their sustainability mandate and goals, and the transparent way that the company treats staff. It feels like a very human place to work. The coworkers are amazing. We're a relatively small team, and everyone is always so nice. We do occasional staff events, but people also hang out with each other outside of work things pretty often too, without anyone getting cliquey. We nerd out talking about jewelry, or other local handmade products, or cooking or DIYs all the time. I feel very seen and heard here. I've learned so much from upper management, and even though I've been here a long time I feel like I'm always still learning and growing. When I bring up issues or have new ideas I feel like I am listened to, even if it isn't always something that can be fixed or implemented right away. They also offer a lot of flexibility in terms of working from home sometimes for office staff, or if someone needs to go down to part time, etc.
Cons
No workplace is perfect. There is always a lot going on, and it can sometimes be overwhelming. They don't expect people to know everything from the get-go, but only self-starters and problem solvers really thrive here. It's not a place to work if you want to get promoted by sticking to the same routine day in and day out, or if you want to be in a job that doesn't grow and challenge you unless you're comfortable staying in an entry level position.
