Pros

Fellow team members were quite kind, talented, and respectful.

Cons

Where to begin. During my brief time at QI, I received little to no feedback, positive, negative, or otherwise. There was absolutely no communication on expectations of the role, and structure was entirely non-existent. Only feedback I did recieve was vague and positive, with no substance from the incredibly incompetent leadership. Deadlines would be created, changed, or removed on a whim for any given aspect of the project. Delegation of work load was horribly mismanaged. No clear boundaries regarding projects and what was to be done by who. COVID health and safety guidelines were routinely ignored and unenforced. Management and CEO would routinely bring up past employees, current employees, and people tangentially involved with the company in a weird negative light that was completely unprofessional. Found little to no strong boundaries between personal and professional lives. Half con regarding work schedule. Hours were incredibly open and freeform, which was good in some ways (being able to come in slightly later to work), but bad in others. Was asked to work weekends, and management routinely worked incredibly odd hours which made working difficult. Management was quite inconsiderate and downright rude and insulting regarding specific workplace issues that got brought up. Will emphasize again that management and CEO are incredibly inexperienced, and it is abundantly clear that this was their first time in any sort of leadership position. There was no clear policy or support regarding diversity and an inclusive work environment. No explicit issues with racism or sexism, but the company is overwhelmingly male dominated, and it is reflective in the work environment. Management have no personal life, and interpersonal relationships between myself and others outside of the company routinely were brought up at work. Management routinely attempted to involve themselves (quite strangely) in my personal life and relationships to an incredibly problematic degree. It was disrespectful and I felt my privacy was constantly invaded. I could go on, but a lot of what I would say is echoing the experiences of other negative reviews on this site. I would actively recommend against working for this company. You would be doing yourself a favor working literally anywhere else.

Pros

Great flexibility, tons of learning opportunities, no office politics (and if so, that eventually gets shut down). Management has no problems letting people go if they don't contribute and just cause problems with their behavior. No favoritism, anyone can be heard here without worry of subtle or outright backlash. I've had a lot of different jobs, and bosses, and upper management and it is usually just a snake pit one way or another. This is the first place in very very long time where I don't have to worry about that stuff anymore.

Cons

Can get hectic and feel unorganized at times, but Nik does listen, and is willing to try things out to make things better for everyone. It is a work in progress and has been getting better over time.

Pros

Excellent PTO policy, great coworkers, well delegated, immense passion from the whole team.

Cons

Morale can be easily swayed by public opinion, lack of community management leaves developers to engage personally.
