Pros
My direct supervisors were dedicated, reasonable, and enjoyable to be around (though that was not the typical case on this campus). Mostly proactive in dealing with harassment issues. If given the right supervisor and depending on the office/time of semester, projects can be very rewarding
Cons
Exploitative management that expects full-time effort from part-timers Not a great work/life balance Permitted fabrication of time sheets, working through lunches and HR doesn't care Speaks rudely to the CA's and treats them like children who need their hands occupied Upper management does not respect CA's or their input. Also blames the campus funding issues on salary/wage increases rather than acknowledging the uni's poor management practices. If you call management out, they will become retaliatory and HR will defend them
