Working hours can be flexible, varies department to department. Easy to move around department to department. Skills enhancement encouraged. Team leaders are usually good and easy to talk to
Cons
Low pay rise. Hefty workload leading to increased overtime - varies department to department. Higher management can be ignorant. They will pile on work regardless of staff and experience shortage. They will approve more novel assays and projects and will not think twice how it is all going to get done. Huge paperwork and archiving, again varies department to department. High staff turnover.
