      AVOID!!! - Coding Manager R1 RCM Employee Review

      Pros

      Unlimited PTO was the only good thing.

      Cons

      You are just a number. They shake things up and restructure or rebrand yearly. They are too cheap to give people tools they need to do their jobs. We had to share logins because they wouldn’t pay for enough licenses! Turnover is so high it’s hard to believe. So many layers of management. You have more managers than skilled workers. Manger to manage a manager and so on. Was a horrid experience and would never recommend anyone work here. Lots of shady practices.

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
