Pros

Pay, PTO, that's about it.

Cons

Management is the biggest red flag. Clueless. Lack of training , you're on your own. Get hired on as one job and you get to wear multiple hats!! ( meaning you do multiple job duties you are not compensated for).

Pros

RAM Windows & Doors might be a good starting point if you’re early in your career or don’t have other immediate options. I was fortunate to meet a few genuinely great colleagues, which was one of the highlights of my time there.

Cons

The company faces significant internal challenges. The organization lacks proper infrastructure and effective leadership. Communication from upper management is minimal, which causes frequent confusion across departments. There are no company-wide meetings and very little investment in employee morale, which contributes to a culture that can feel unmotivated and stagnant. There are a few people who are truly passionate and care deeply about their work, but unfortunately, those efforts are not consistently recognized or rewarded. There are no performance reviews, raises, or bonuses. The only gesture toward employee appreciation was a monthly birthday cake—which was discontinued about a year ago. The culture is very much “sink or swim.” Don’t expect mentorship or structured support; you'll likely be figuring things out on your own. On the flip side, this environment did push me to grow quickly and take on responsibilities beyond my role. I learned a lot—but largely out of necessity and lack of support. If you have other opportunities, I would suggest exploring those first. But if this is your stepping stone, go in with realistic expectations and use the experience to build your skill set for the next chapter.
