Pros
They get you home when you want to be, as often as you request it. That is a big plus!
Cons
Have to fight to get detention pay, it never shows up in pay when due. Miles promised, average 2500 per week, have not materialized. Have averaged around 2100. Have to wait long periods of time after drops to get the next load, which is why the mileage doesn't average what is promised. Because of the long wait times for loads, you don't have enough time left on your clock to drive and get the miles they promise. When you end up back at the terminal with a load, the wait time the next day to go out is ridiculously long. If your truck needs service, there are not back up trucks available to keep drivers on the road.
