Pros

Staff is awesome. Hours are flexible. Work is easy.

Cons

A work, life balance is non-existent here. You can be expected to close one day and open the next very often. More often than not your expected to work late and show back up in the mornings. There is no feeling of actual scheduling or thought behind it. It doesn't matter to them how messed up your schedule seems as long as it works for them. Back to back shifts (working late evening then back for early morning) all the time Inconsistent hours. Advancement is based on favoritism, not Merit. Minimal "training" given, if you can even call it that, more of a orientation, then you get thrown in to sink or swim. Hints of decisions being made in relation to a persons sex, or race. (The proof is in who they choose to advance, and who they ignore for promotions) THE COMPANY KEEPS ALL GRATUITIES. They don't seem to notice or acknowledge long term dedication. Oh did i mention favoritism?

Pros

Made some goof friends, that's it

Cons

Unfortunately, I would not recommend working here. One of the biggest issues was the workplace culture. There seemed to be a strange hierarchy and power struggle between some shift supervisors, which created an uncomfortable environment for staff. New employees were often expected to take on more than their fair share of work, and favoritism was very noticeable. Management was often unprofessional, communication was poor, and employee concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. Constructive feedback was not well received, and there was a strong sense that management was always right regardless of the situation. Work-life balance was also a major issue. Hours were inconsistent, scheduling could be frustrating, and staff wellbeing often felt like an afterthought. Employees were expected to stand for long shifts with little consideration for physical strain, even when someone was unwell. I gained valuable experience, but this company honestly pushed me away from the hospitality industry altogether. I started the job excited to build a career in hospitality and left feeling completely burnt out. If anything, it taught me exactly what kind of workplace culture I want to avoid in the future.
